The reality is that the majority of people who have the money to buy those clothes by the designers, are predominantly white. That may also be why many black models are over looked too. People who buy the clothes want to see them being worn by people who look similar to them and can inspire looks that they can try on themselves. It’s a matter of vanity and nothing more, but the pain of rejection is more than skin deep.

@weirdo033 Cancer cells are white btw. Not to mention Africans are the MOST genetically people on the planet. There is more genetic diversity between two sengalese siblings than a british man and french man. Oh, and your EuroPEON scientist say that mixing of “races” is best because it increasing genetic diversity lol .. You know nothing of the truth just falsified lies to make you feel better about being a sunburning hybrid. Racist trash

@weirdo033 Facts of what fool ? You can continue to listen to the European books because quite frankly I DON’T CARE. Funny thing is, Philip Emweagli a Nigerian born BLACK man came up with the mathematical formula for all computers to communicate at once NOW called the internet. He HAD to submit the formula in anonymously in fear that they wouldn’t accept it from a BLACK MAN. You people are RACIST TRASH. No wonder CANCER suffers areHIGHEST within your race, fool.

@IanJar I take it you can’t read and whatever facts are thrown at you you’re gonna be shouting racism. Keep up with your stupid remarks and then keep wondering why people are judging you.

@weirdo033 Girl shut up. If you know anyone that works in the industry .. The designers specifically tell the casting agents… ” NO BLACK GIRLS ” So take it and shove it up your racist mouth, pig.

@IanJar (2/2) you can’t have more ‘black’ girls getting jobs when there are low numbers of them. You have to see the facts too, first of all fashion is primarily in western countries, where ‘light skin’ is the majority so you’ll obviously get ‘white’ girls in agencies in their majority. I personally think people want to see diversity it’s just that it’s very difficult to break the way things work it takes time and effort.

@IanJar Sure is easy to pull the racism card. It might have been a factor in the past but things are changing and it doesn’t take a year or two because we’re talking about an industry that deals with consumerism. But apart from big designers and publications not wanting to take risks because there’s a lot of money involved, there are so many agencies out there of various ranks who would be more than happy to sign any girl especially one that would stand out. @weirdo033 Africans are the MOST GENETICALLY diverse people on the PLANET ! Find me a curvaceous Sudanese, Ethiopian, or Somolian ! Nothing but RACISM keeps blacks from getting jobs in the industry. Stop fulling yourself.

black women have naturally curvaceous figures. I remember watching a tyra interview saying how she had to quit high fashion and do shows like victorias secret because she started maturing as a woman and her body would get curvier.
there are a lot more factors than skin colour that can keep you from getting a job in the industry.

@Thesaeed23 Seriously ? I can only imagine she was nearly perfect .. How else does a Black woman get to the TOP of a predominately white, RACIST industry ? She had to be perfect. Could she have been Nefertiti reincarnated ? When I look at the reconstruction (youtube : nefertiti comes alive ) ..I think of young Naomi. lol

@IanJar She was just stunning, breathtakingly beautiful. Gazelle like. Perfect body – just perfectly formed. Flawless skin. Nothing like any other woman you have seen. I just couldn’t take my eyes off her. She was quite shy. She just blushed and smiled back at me. The walk was perfect. You just can’t take your eyes off her. Amazing lips. I can’t explain it – you just want to touch her – just to check she was real.

@Thesaeed23 Are you serious ? Was she that stunning ? … I mean I have always been a fan of Naomi and I can JUST tell that she is extremely beautifully stunning .. Oprah even addressed her beauty several times in the interview she had with Naomi … It seems like Oprah would train her billion dollar empire to look at good as Naomi .

@IanJar Actually I should have said before she was really famous. She was about 19 four years after she made the front cover of Vouge and the supermodels were just about to take off. Met her at a night club called Kinky Gerlinky at the Empire Ball Room in Leicester Square. I think the theme was ‘Label Queens’. She wore an Azzedine Alaia leopard print dress, black boots and she had long hair. I actually did not know who she was but my Jaw just dropped when she walked pass me. Before the Trinity
